This isn’t just a program,  it’s a revolutionary  evolution born  from  my  own  lived experience  of  surviving  cycles  of  pain and reclaiming  my  dignity.

 

 

The  Self Portrait #519 Foundation, a program under  Gifted Hands Brilliant Minds Inc., exists  to  help  children, youth, and  adults throughout  the  State  of  Maryland — not  just  Baltimore  City  embrace  emotional  literacy, self-love, and  safety.

 

Our Why:    When  a  child   has  a  clean  body, an  adequate  pair  of  shoes,  and  hygienic  supplies, that  child’s  level  of  self-esteem increases. A  clean  child  is  a conscientious  and  confident  child  who  will  thrive  in  class.  It  is  my  belief  that  when  children  are cared  for  properly  and  they  have  support, they  thrive  in  this  lifetime.

 

That  is  why  the  Self  Portrait #519  Foundation  strives  to  provide  the  essentials  for  children  throughout  the  State  of  Maryland.

 

It  is  my  desire  to  ensure  that  children  know  their  body  is  their  temple.

Their  body  is  their  sacred  place, and  taking  care  of  it  from  the  inside  to  the  outside  is  a  vital  attribute  to  their  healthy emotional, physical, mental, and  social  well-being.

Donation Levels:  $50 – Provides a full Hygiene & Dignity Kit Includes: towel, washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary napkins, comb/brush, handheld mirror, condoms, body spray/perfume, and soap.

 

$100 – Provides one full Hygiene & Dignity Kit and a Self Portrait #519 Package Includes: journals, art supplies, educational materials, snacks, a mini first-aid kit, and resources to help children build confidence and thrive.
